Now the night before is old
And the stormy waves of passion
Have completely ceased to roll
We made a simple shortcut
Skipped the feeling and the hurt
We sort of missed the main meal
And went straight for dessert

It takes a long time to relate
Becoming one means to be growing
The moment turned us on

Following fads, obeying trends
Trying to be what fashion commands
Floating along with anything
Is often thought of as being the real thing

But staying free to say no
Just being true to what’s really you
And finding out what’s wrong and right
That means to walk in a new kind of light

Eternity is there all the time
As a choice that we make
Never as a mere prolonging of time
But rather a direction we take

The very final part of all creation
Surely an amazing thing
Wonderful to see
And great to be one
Marvellous woman
Made to be a sister, lover, mother
Worker and a friend and more
Right at the core
of what a human’s for

Stronger they may seem, but then again
Women are the ones on earth who give birth
There wouldn’t be a single man
without woman

God created woman
Different from a man and yet so like him
Maybe not as strong in arm
But more of charm
A stronger psyche
When we’re assumin’
One should be superior to the other
That is but a fruit of sin

Think With the Heart

Seated in my easy chair I get the news report
I need a cheer from anywhere, but nothing of the sort
People dying of overweight, while the hungry increase
And the hour is getting late for disarmament and peace

Got to be smart now
Got to think with the heart now
Because the world is falling apart now

Go to see the guy next door and share my scares and fears
He says he’s heard it all before, “It’s been like this for years”
But if it dawns on you one fine day, that you’re a part of all
You see the world in a different light and it’s hard for you to stall

Got to be smart now …

So you try a congressman and tell him how you feel
He ought to lend a helping hand, an upright man with zeal
Bu t his ambition to have a seat and keep it one more turn
Shuts him off from the ones in need. They can’t elect him in return

Got to be smart now …

Jesus came with love in mind. They hung him on a cross
But resurrection’s a mighty sign that hope may not be lost
So whatever the bad news is, it’s not the last decree
And what good news comes out of this is up to you and me

More pollution everywhere

That never ever get a chance
Like many books in many libraries
That hardly even get a glance
But you’ll discover when they open up
And when you read them well
Each and every one has got a special meaning
A story of its own to tell

Some are shorter, some are taller
Some black and white ones
Some full color
But all have got a lot to say

Lots to say

There are so many personalities
That never do get pointed out
Like many books in many libraries
You don’t know what they’re all about
And only seeing what the cover’s like
Says nothing ‘bout the rest
But every single person that you spend some time with
Is surely gonna pass the test
